Our renal dialysis unit is composed of 51 hemodialysis machines supplied by central water treatment unit dependent on a piping system and daily heat disinfection with weekly chemical disinfection, which provide the safest treated water for patients.
Also we have 5 portable reverse osmosis (RO) serving our patients in ICUs.
Also we have a machine for hemofiltration and hemodiafiltration
The nephrology section manages all medical disorders of the kidneys and urinary tract. It offers management of acute and chronic renal failure, proteinuria, hypertension, and electrolyte disturbances.
Our highly trained and experienced physicians and nurses provide comprehensive care for all spectrums of kidney diseases including Renal and peritoneal dialysis. We also manage autoimmune induced kidney diseases using immunosuppressive and biological agents.
DSFH boasts a specialized lithotripsy unit, which offers urinary stones and advanced endoscopic procedures on a daily basis.
The lithotripter is a machine that produces shock waves that will hit kidney stones and break them into small pieces. These small pieces will then pass in the urine. The unit is staffed by highly qualified and trained urologist, anesthetist, x-ray technologists, and registered nurses.
This service can be provide don outpatient basis where patients spend on average 3-4 hours in the unit and can then be discharged home.
