About the Center

The Patient Teaching Center was established to provide a health education service for patients, their families, and the community in order to enhance their health information and raise awareness and pay attention to healthy behaviors to improve their quality of life.

The center's activities include

  • Educating patients and their families: Educators are responsible for educating inpatients in hospitals or outpatient clinics referred from doctors in outpatient clinics.
  • Conducting and organizing awareness campaigns and lectures: which will help raise the level of learning and awareness in the community.
  • Printing and sending educational materials: Printing educational leaflets for patients and distributing them in all hospital departments, each section with its own topics or in the waiting areas in the hospital, and sending these educational materials to patients to be able to view them at any time through his mobile phone. In addition to publishing these materials on the hospital's website.

Clinic location and working hours

  • There is a health education clinic on the third floor of Building No. 1
  • Working hours: From 8 am to 8 pm every day except Friday.

Services provided in the clinic

Receiving patients and their families and educating them properly regarding their cases, how to deal with it, and how to deal with critical situations related to the case.

Education topics include

  • Diabetes education: diabetes mellitus (type 1 & 2 and gestational diabetes), educating for insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring machine (sensor).
  • Health education: including kidney dialysis patients, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and cardiac rehabilitation.
  • Respiratory Education: Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease avoidance triggers, the importance of vaccination, how to use properly Inhalers and nebulizers machines.
  • Education for proper and correct use of some medications.
